Symbiosolv also known as Supersolv by Dr Straetmans is a mixture of naturally derived surfactants and wetting agents and offers excellent solubilization. It yields transparent solutions of most perfume oils and essential oils in aqueous formulations,  making it invaluable for formulating cosmetic products.  It is a natural solubilizer blend that produces transparent aqueous solutions. It can solubilise different types of Essential oils, Perfume blends and other lipophilic components. An improved recipe providing a powerful PEG-free alternative to current PEG solubilisers in the market. Manufactured with environmentally friendly and readily biodegradable raw materials, this 100% Naturally derived and COSMOS approved ingredient is perfect for your natural certified products.

The blend contains corn derived alkylpolypentosides and is PEG-free. SymbioSolv can be formulated in a cold process, without or with small amounts of alcohol, and is easy to handle. Symbiosolv will give a better solubilising performance compared to PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil and Polysorbate.

Manufacturers suggested Usage 0.5-5%. 1:3 (one part oil, three parts solubilizer).Use at a ratio of 1:3 – 1:5 (oil : Solubiser). max percentage of 4-5% for transparent aqueous solution and 0.5 – 1.5 % for surfactant-based products.

1. Pre-mix SymbioSolv with perfume and other lipophilic substances to be solubilized at room temperature.
   2. Add water, the aqueous phase or the surfactant base, to the pre-mix while stirring.
   3. Adjust pH to 4.5 – 6.5 if necessary.

Note: In surfactant based products:  SymbioSolv may reduce the viscosity. Adjust viscosity at the end of the formulation process. Suggested Usage Rate depends on specific lipophilic component. For the beginning, start with a ratio of 1:3 (one part oil, three parts solubilizer). If the solution stays milky, increase amount of solubilizer. Restart formulation process in this case.
