Manufacturer Suggested Usage: 1:4 ratio of Sucragel to oil phase of your formulation. 20-25% to create an oily gel, 5-10% as a cold process emulsifier in o/w emulsions. Add oil very slowly with a pipette (As slowly as 5minutes for 200g of oils and up to 3hours for very large batches)  into the Sucragel using a circular motion mixer completely immersed in the Sucragel at a high speed. As the viscosity increases, increase the stirrer speed and height and add oil in small portions until fully incorporated. You cannot over stir. Your formulation must remain between pH 4-8 at all times (even during formulating) or the emulsion may separate. Sucragel can be used either at room temperature or up to 70 – 80ºC. Shake/stir well before use. Clarity is achieved when the refractive indexes of each of the raw materials add up. If your gel is not transparent,  it  is likely that some water has been lost during manufacturing. Add small amounts of water (drop by drop) until clarity is restored.

Sucragel is a cold process emulsifier for oil in water emulsions and also works as an oil thickener. It comes in liquid form making it easy to use. Oily gels formed with Sucragel will instantly emulsify on contact with water. Sucragel holds oil in place in a stable micro-emulsion and when water is added the mix changes into a cream or a light lotion.

• Can be used at either room temperature and up 80ºC. More stable at temperatures below 40C. Sucragel will not add viscosity to emulsions or stability to the water phase, therefore it is recommended to add a rheology modifier to stabilize the water phase. To enhance the stability of your formulation, especially at high temperatures, we recommend using SuperBlend.
