Description
Our soy lecithin is produced using a unique process which does not utilize solvent or alcohol extraction. Lecithin acts as an emulsifier and thickening agent for body care products and improves shelf life by acting as a mild preservative. Soy lecithin contains a natural mixture of triglycerides, phospholipids and glycolipids with a small amount of carbohydrates. Due to its liquid state it may be easily blended into cosmetic creations, thus removing blending barriers commonly found in both granules and powder.
Lecithin is widely used within the food and cosmetic industry for its nutritive benefits and as a lipophilic emulsifier, thickener and emollient. Soy is the most concentrated plant-based source of natural lecithin.
Soy Lecithin is non-GMO.

Lecithin is used as an emulsifier, thickener, stabilizer, mild preservative, moisturizer, and emollient. It may be added to moisturizers, makeup, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, lip balms, and many other products. It is a great alternative to other emulsifying and stabilizing agents, some of which are derived from petrochemical sources.
Soy Lecithin is highly beneficial for the skin and hair, and it is especially well suited for use in moisturizers, cosmetics, soaps and a wide range of other personal care products. Our range of certified organic liquid and powdered lecithins are highly emollient and can be used as a co-emollient and emulsifier to help thicken and emulsify beauty and personal care formulations.
Lecithin is typically used between 0.5-5% in cosmetic applications to help keep formulations from becoming too heavy or greasy, but the usage ratio can be increased, depending upon your application.
