Description
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, often called SLSa, is a top performing, super mild, sulfate-free anionic surfactant. It has good cleansing properties, produces creamy rich lather and is hair and skin friendly pH.
It is a sulfate free, gentle powder surfactant, derived from sustainable coconut and palm oils and conforms to Ecocert natural and organic cosmetic standard.
Our SLSa is much milder to the skin than ethoxylated alcohol sulfates such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and other cheaper, more irritating surfactants.
It is an excellent choice to use as a surfactant if you are looking for a replacement for Sodium lauryl Sulfate powder or other more harsh products. SLSa is often used to replace regular soap whenever soap sensitization is found.
It is non irritating to the skin up to 70%, minimal to no irritation to the eyes up to 3% concentration in most cases. It is suitable for use in children and baby products, as well as for adult products where sensitive skin is involved.
Sodium lauryl Sulfate powder is excellent for use in “bath bombs” or bath fizzes, with the fizzing action caused by the citric-bicarbonate reaction, the gas released will cause the Sulfoacetate to foam, creating a bubble bath.
