Description
Our cold pressed shea butter is extracted from shea nuts through a combination of both traditional and mechanical extraction processes (Semi-mechanized extraction). It is raw, unrefined and processed in such a way to ensure its healing properties are left intact. Gathering and harvesting the best quality nuts is the first stage in this process, and this ensures the sanctity of the final product. The nuts are then taken through a production process that limits the use of heat. The final product has a mild nutty/ smoky aroma which is characteristic of natural shea butter from West Africa. It is soft at room temperature and melts at higher temperature. This method of producing shea butter is more environmentally friendly, produces a product that is more consistent in texture and appearance, and a controlled processing method ensures its nutritive properties are not lost through excessive heating.
Please note: This is a natural and unprocessed product. It is produced without the use of sophisticated machinery at controlled temperature and pressure to ensure its nutrients are intact and its appearance is consistent.

Manufacturers Recommended Usage: 0.5 – 100% . Use in Creams, Lotions, Balms, Make-up Foundations, Soaps and Hair Products.
When adding butters to creams and lotions, it might be necessary to gently warm in a heat-proof jar on low heat or in a bain marie (To preserve its nutritive properties) before incorporating into the final product. As with most raw materials, results may vary, we strongly recommend small batch testing prior to any commercial manufacturing.

The Shea butter is good but doesn’t have a smooth texture like the handcrafted one.
