Description
Quaternized Honey (Honeyquat 50 / Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey)
Love the nourishing magic of honey but not the sticky aftermath? Meet Honeyquat 50, the sweet, mess-free upgrade your formulations have been waiting for.
Derived from natural honey, Honeyquat (Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey) is a cationic conditioning agent celebrated for its superior hydrating, antioxidant, and revitalizing properties. It delivers all the goodness of raw honey, intense moisture, nourishment, and protection, without the tackiness.
Lightweight yet powerful, Honeyquat is petro and paraben-free and offers deep hydration to both skin and hair. Thanks to its low molecular weight, it penetrates easily, providing lasting moisture, shine, and smoothness while softening and conditioning the skin and scalp.
And here’s a bonus: unlike most conditioning agents, Honeyquat doesn’t suppress foam, making it an excellent addition to cleansers, shampoos, and body washes where you want that creamy, luxurious lather and a conditioning feel.
Studies show that quaternized honey provides twice the moisturization of glycerin, making it one of the most effective humectants available for modern skincare and haircare.
How It Works
Hair that’s been damaged tends to carry a negative charge. Honeyquat, being positively charged (cationic), bonds beautifully to those weak spots, repairing and conditioning from within. This electrostatic attraction helps reduce friction, boost shine, control frizz, and protect against breakage.
In skincare, the same cationic action allows Honeyquat to cling gently to the skin, resisting rinse-off and delivering enduring hydration. Expect a dewy glow, a smoother texture, and a luxuriously soft after-feel.
