Description

This Unrefined Mango Butter is expeller pressed from mango seed. It is soft, smooth and creamy at room temperature, and melts on contact with the skin. It has a faint smell which is almost easy to miss.

 

Physical Appearance: Pale yellow soft butter

Manufacturers Recommended Usage: 2 – 100% . Use in Creams, Lotions, Balms, Make-up Foundations, Soaps and Hair Products.

When adding butters to creams and lotions, it might be necessary to gently warm in a heat-proof  jar on low heat or  in a bain marie (To preserve its nutritive properties) before incorporating into the final product. As with most raw materials, results may vary, we strongly recommend small batch testing prior to any commercial manufacturing.

 

Common Uses/ Benefits

Mango Butter has been used by the indigenous people of the forest regions of southeast Asia for centuries. It is known to be rich in antioxidants and emollients as well as Vitamins A and E, and it can be used to soften and moisturize rough and dry skin. Its natural properties are useful for reducing the appearance of fine lines. Mango Butter is ideal in formulations for lotions, body butters, balms, soaps, shaving creams, hair care products and lip balms.

 

 

 

Recommended Storage: Body butters are ideally stored in a refrigerator to maintain its texture. It will become soft in warmer temperatures. Store in air tight containers; in a cool dry area; away from direct sunlight.

Shelf Life: Typical shelf life is about 18months when stored properly. store in cool temperatures (below 25 °C) away from light and moisture in an air-tight container. The product may become liquid above ambient temperatures (e.g at 36 °C), but will re-solidify upon cooling without affecting functionality.
