Description
Macadamia Oil is a fantastic regeneranative oil. It is high in mono-unsaturated fatty acids and contains Palmitoleic acid, which promotes youthful, hydrated skin. Macadamia is native to the East Coast rainforests of North Eastern parts of Australia. Several parts of  tropical and subtropical areas of Australia, Hawaiian Islands, Middle Americas, Brazil and South African regions are favorite regions where these sweet and crunchy nuts grow in abundance.
Similarly to olive oil, macadamia oil is a liquid at room temperature. People use this oil in cooking, health and beauty applications.
Macadamia oil is an ideal choice for mature skin as it contains over 20% palmitoleic acid, which helps to retain moisture in the skin. Palmitoleic acid occurs naturally in the skin as part of sebum, but we produce less of it with age, which results in drier skin. Macadamia nut oil is therefore a good ingredient to have in products for mature dry skin.
Macadamia is also rich in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids and has been successfully used to help heal scars and sunburns. It is considered very safe for use in facial and baby products.
