Liquorice (Licorice) Root is a herbaceous perennial native to Europe and parts of Asia, long valued in traditional skincare for its brightening and soothing benefits. Rich in glabridin, a natural compound known to help protect the skin from UV-induced damage, liquorice extract helps visibly fade dark spots, reduce hyperpigmentation, and even out uneven skin tone.

It also contains glycyrrhizin, a soothing and antioxidant-rich molecule that helps calm irritation, redness, and inflamed skin. This makes Liquorice Root Extract especially beneficial for sensitive, acne-prone, and post-inflammatory skin conditions.
