Description
Our high quality Lavender Essential Oil is steam distilled from stunning top flowers of the best of the ‘Lavandula species’ to produce a remarkable Lavender oil. This magnificent bouquet contains Italian, Bulgarian and French lavenders. It has a crisp, herbaceous, fresh floral scent with a slightly woody finish, within the characteristic Lavender scent, our Lavender Oil has its own distinct sweet floral and rich green notes making it exceptionally suited for aromatherapeutic applications. This essential oil is the most common choice for applications in soaps, candles, perfumes, and cosmetics. The “40/42” refers to the standardized balanced ratio of Linalool and Linalyl acetate, the principal constituents found in lavender essential oil. Blending 40/42 eliminates yearly variances in the crop, to supply a more consistent aroma profile which is what gives it a consistent floral scent, which means it smells the way lavender should smell.
Lavender has been used since ancient times, and the Romans added lavender to their bath water, hence the name from Latin ‘lavare’ which means ‘to wash’. Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil has the most floral scent of all the Lavenders and is a blend of various lavenders to achieve an economical product. While the vast majority of Lavender 40/42 in the market is synthetically compounded, our Lavender 40/42 is comprised of 100% natural constituents and is blended to match the ideal percentage of Linalool and Linalyl acetate esters, to release the best of Lavender’s floral notes, it is often the Lavender of choice for soaps, candles, perfumes and cosmetics.
