Helichrysum Essential Oil (pronounced:  hell-ee-kriss-um),  is also known as Immortelle Essential Oil and Everlasting Essential Oil (named because its flowers retain their color, shape, and fragrance when dried), is arguably one of the best essential oils for skin care.

It is considered a gentle oil, so there is less concern for sensitization, and it also has regenerative properties that make it well-suited for numerous skin issues. Additionally, it has a fresh herbaceous-floral scent that is naturally uplifting when inhaled.

It is steam distilled from the flowers of Helichrysum italicum harvested in France. Although it is distilled from flowers, its aroma is a mild floral note with a distinctive aroma of tea, honey and sweet earthy characteristics.

Helichrysum Essential Oil is a remarkable essential oil that is often used to help support healthy skin and soothe problematic skin and minimize the appearance of bruises, wrinkles and scars. It can also be wonderful for helping to relax sore muscles. Helichrysum is frequently used in facial care products for mature and aging skin, as well as for blemished skin or skin with tissue damage. Not only is it extremely versatile–being useful for a number of different skin types–it’s also gentle and effective. It can easily be incorporated in your natural skin care regimen, as well as in formulations for dealing with bruises, sore muscles, and damaged tissue.

Within aromatherapy applications, Helichrysum Essential Oil is an uplifting and centering oil that promotes emotional healing and reflection. It is also widely used in meditation and spiritual work.

Helichrysum essential oil has regenerative action on skin cells. Thanks to its antioxidant and cytophylactic properties, it is very suitable for anti-ageing serums, anti-wrinkle creams, rejuvenating elixirs for face, neck and breast. Helichrysum essential  stimulates the production of collagen and elastin fibers. This property makes wounds and cuts heal quickly and scar marks disappear fast. It is equally effective on clearing up spots left on the skin by acne and other skin irregularities. It soothes light burns and raw chapped skin. This property of Helichrysum Oil makes the skin smooth, soft and helps it retain moisture. It prevents dehydration and cracking of the skin. Used as emollient, it nourishes the skin and restores its suppleness.

In general, Helichrysum is well-suited for most skin types including, Mature skin, Prematurely aging skin, Acne-prone skin, Damaged skin, Sensitive skin. You can either add helichrysum to your existing body care products, like cleansers and moisturizers, or you to formulate your own products.

Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.
