BTMS-50 is a powerful conditioning emulsifier and quaternary conditioning agent designed for both hair and skin formulations. Derived from natural vegetable sources (Colza oil), this white flake emulsifier creates exceptionally elegant, cationic emulsions that feel soft, powdery, and luxurious on the skin while delivering superior detangling and conditioning performance to hair.

With 50% active Behentrimonium Methosulfate, BTMS-50 contains a higher concentration of conditioning agent compared to BTMS-25. This means stronger performance, improved substantivity to hair, and less reliance on fatty alcohol for structure.

• Add BTMS-50 to the oil phase and heat to fully melt (~60°C).
•  For deep conditioning masks, use 6–10% for maximum detangling impact.
• Pair with humectants like glycerin or panthenol for enhanced moisture retention.
•  To avoid heavy buildup, balance with lightweight oils such as fractionated coconut oil, Babassu oil, or squalane.
•  Because it is cationic, avoid combining directly with strong anionic emulsifiers to maintain stability.
