Bakuchiol is a naturally occurring antioxidant obtained from the seeds of the plant Psoralea corylifolia. Bakuchiol is a 100% natural active ingredient obtained from the babchi seeds (psoralea corylifolia plant). Described as the true alternative to retinol, it presents striking resemblances with the performances of retinoids but is much gentler with the skin.

It was first isolated in 1966 from Psoralea corylifolia seed and was called Bakuchiol based on the Sanskrit name ‘Bakuchi’ of the plant. Though bakuchiol doesn’t function exactly like retinol does, however, bakuchiol does not disappoint when it comes to results.

Bakuchiol is a meroterpene, it  is the first natural alternative to retinol without having any of the negatives associated with retinol.  Bakuchiol stimulates Collagen I, III and IV and is clinically proven to reduce multiple signs of aging, including roughness and dryness, fine lines and wrinkles and improvement in skin tone, elasticity and firmness, increasing radiance and brightness.

Bakuchiol is safe for all skin types, ranging anywhere from oily and dry skin to those with more sensitive skin.

Our product Bakuchiol extract  is a proprietary standardized liquid extract that is made from Psoralea corylifolia (Bakuchiol) and is considered 300 times stronger than Bakuchoil.

This extract contains 20% Bakuchiol dissolved in a 40:40 kosher vegetable glycerin and sterile water base diluent resulting in an extract with 20% natural phytochemicals from the plant.
