Common Uses/Benefits

Avocado Oil absorbs slowly and leaves a sheen on the skin. It is typically added to other carrier oils to enrich their protein and vitamin content. It is mainly used by manufacturers for soaps, lotions and creams.

Avocado oil is enriched with essential minerals, vitamins, proteins, fatty acids, and antioxidants. Apart from cooking, this absorbent oil has multiple benefits for the skin. Its moisturizing properties make it ideal for people with rough, itchy, and dry skin.

According to research, Avocado oil helps in reducing the signs of aging and this credit goes to its palmitoleic acid. It is a fatty acid, which is naturally found in human skin tissues. Since avocado mimics this fatty acid, our skin helps in absorbing it better.

When used regularly, avocado oil helps in rejuvenating the skin deeply and thus, making a person look much younger. Its essential vitamins (E, D, A), linoleic and oleic acid compositions serve as powerful anti-inflammatories. However, it is very thick in nature, and hence, it is often blended with carrier oils (like almond oil or sunflower oil) with a thinner viscosity.

The antioxidants  and vitamins in avocado oil may help to heal the dry, irritated, and flaky skin associated with  eczema and psoriasis. Avocado oil also has anti-inflammatory effects, which can help to reduce the redness and  inflammation associated with acne.

Storage: It is recommended that cold-pressed carrier oils be kept in a cool dark place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. If refrigerated, bring to room temperature before using.
