Our Almond Butter is a blend of Sweet Almond Oil and hydrogenated vegetable oil to create a rich butter with a dense viscosity and smooth texture. Because this butter retains all the natural benefits of Sweet Almond Oil, such as its high levels of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and Vitamins A, B, and E, it is perfect for lotions, creams, and body butters. Especially designed to enhance formulations for dry skin, its creamy texture enables it to be used as is by those with very dry skin.

Manufacturers Recommended Usage: 2 – 100% . Use in Creams, Lotions, Balms, Make-up Foundations, Soaps and Hair Products.

When adding butters to creams and lotions, it might be necessary to gently warm in a heat-proof  jar on low heat or  in a bain marie (To preserve its nutritive properties) before incorporating into the final product. As with most raw materials, results may vary, we strongly recommend small batch testing prior to any commercial manufacturing.

Common Uses/Benefits

Almond butter can be added to creams or lotions to make them rich and increase their emollience. It makes a particularly helpful addition to products designed for baby care and sensitive skin care. Almond Butter exhibits excellent spreadability on the skin, making it ideal as a massage butter or carrier for deeply hydrating therapeutic products.

Recommended Storage: Body butters are ideally stored in a refrigerator to maintain its texture. It will become soft in warmer temperatures. Store in air tight containers; in a cool dry area; away from direct sunlight.

Shelf Life: Typical shelf life is about 18months when stored properly. store in cool temperatures (below 25 °C) away from light and moisture in an air-tight container. The product may become liquid above ambient temperatures (e.g at 36 °C), but will re-solidify upon cooling without affecting functionality.
